INCOMING: MaaSiveTwin’s First Official Workhop!

19.06.2026

MaaSiveTwin wholeheartedly invites you to our first official (hybrid) workshop, ‘Data Processing and Rare Earth Elements Forecasting‘, which will take place July 21st (10:00-17:00 EEST) at the Technical University of Crete (TUC). The workshop is held by the Digital Signal and Image Processing Laboratory.

In this workshop, we will explore how AI, data fusion, and advanced forecasting techniques can support the monitoring and prediction of rare earth elements (REEs) and other critical raw materials (CRMs) supply chains.

Emphasis is on integrating heterogeneous data sources, including trade statistics, satellite observations, and industrial indicators, as well as trustworthy AI approaches to predict supply chain dynamics and assess Europe’s resilience to disruptions.

Additionally, two guest presenters, Dr. Komnitsas Konstantinos and Nikolaos Sifakis will hold the two following talks: ‘How CRMs shape Europe’s economic and technological resilience’ and ‘Digital Shadows, Energy Systems, and Circular Value Chains: A Research Pathway Toward Decision- Oriented Digitalisation’.

The goal of this workshop is to create a welcoming environment and allow participants to give feedback, lead constructive discussions and exchange valuable knowledge.
