Project

Key Objectives

Digital twin assistant to enable sustainable manufacturing by identifying and tracking key factors (critical raw material supply, production capacity, demand, policies on tariff and ethics, unforeseen events such as war, technology adaptation and natural disaster).

Modelling of current manufacturing bottlenecks and prediction of near to long term supply demand shortages and/or risks.

Dashboard to allow reaction and mitigation measures for factories to prevent down-time and enable MaaS by identifying alternative CRM sourcing and processing routes to increase utilisation of e.g. CRM refinery.

Specific
Objectives

Collection of data from primary data sources of supply, demand, ethics, sustainability, events, tariffs, and EU policy to create the largest possible database on Critical raw materials.

Deterministic, stochastic and Machine Learning modelling of CRM supply chains and disruptions by sudden events.

Demonstrator of MaaSiveTwin as a MaaS enabler for CRM processing value chains.

Elucidate sustainable business models, commercial feasibility in line with European regulations.

Disseminate knowledge to a range of stakeholders, establish synergies with related initiatives.

Key elements
of Methodology

Derive assumptions from the tool about the future state of the supply chain (i.e. demand trends, market structures, and the availability of suppliers).

6

Use of optimisation algorithms to determine the optimal allocation of resources and to minimise costs in the supply chain.

5

Use of Simulation techniques to model the behaviour of the supply chain under different scenarios (i.e. changes in demand, supply disruptions, and blocked routes).

4

Use of AI-powered forecasting models to make predictions about future supply and demand based on the collected data.

3

Time series analysis to identify patterns in the data over time.

2

Collection of data from various sources (i.e. historical sales data, supplier data, market trends, and economic indicators) to make predictions.
